MEET THE VISIONARY *
Tylar Williams is the visionary behind Princess Texiana, a brand rooted in family, heritage, and the soulful traditions of Southern kitchens.
Born and raised in Bryan, Texas, Tylar grew up surrounded by the flavors, stories, and memories that shaped generations before her. Her culinary inspiration traces back to the kitchens of Morrow and Ville Platte, Louisiana, where the art of cooking was more than nourishment—it was a way of bringing people together.
The foundation of this tradition began with Selena Laviolette (1894–1973) of Morrow, Louisiana, whose soul-enriching recipes were passed down to her daughter Hester Fregia (1918–1993) of Ville Platte. Hester carried those flavors west, eventually settling in Port Arthur, Texas, where the recipes continued to evolve as family gathered around the table.
That legacy found its next steward in Tylar’s father, Clyde Williams (1947–2019). Known for his patience at the pot and bold seasoning, Clyde carried the tradition from Port Arthur to Houston, sharing meals that reflected both Louisiana roots and Gulf Coast influence. His cooking was never rushed; it was thoughtful, intentional, and meant to be shared.
Inspired by the love, resilience, and flavors of those before her, Tylar created Princess Texiana as a way to carry that heritage forward. What began as a family tradition has grown into a vision to share those same comforting flavors with others.
Through every jar, recipe, and gathering, Tylar honors the generations who came before her while building something new for those yet to come.
